"Hello, I am Jim Bennett, Counselor. I have compassionately worked with families, couples, individuals, teens and groups for 30 years."

I have worked with these clients in a private practice setting and in an addictions treatment center setting.  I have accomplished Masters Degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology.  I studied both disciplines to equip myself for assessment as well as treatment.  I became a counselor to help teens navigate their way into adulthood. I quickly found that the family is where it all starts. Therefore, I focused on family/marriage counseling. From there I branched into addiction counseling.
The past 30 years have provided me the experience to treat mood disorders and a wide variety of other emotional and mental issues. Panic disorder, depression and bipolar disorder along with physical, sexual and emotional abuse have been a large part of my practice.
I have spent 15 years working with professionals in recovery.  I have helped establish recovery networks.  I still do counseling and consulting with Pharmacy/Dental Recovery Networks , Lawyer Assistance Programs, Nurse Recovery Programs, and Physician Recovery Programs.  Whether a professional or not, you can recover and I will help you.
